Liz Marshall's documentary film The Ghosts In Our Machine continues to grow. This past summer we filmed the rescue of two incredible animals at Farm Sanctuary; a newborn veal calf whom we named Sonny, and a spent dairy cow who was named Fanny. Both were deemed useless to the agricultural industry because they were unprofitable and were therefore being sent to slaughter.
Susie Coston, National Shelter Director at Farm Sanctuary, rescued them and with the help of a large veterinary team, gave them the medical attention they needed. Sonny and Fanny now live among many other rescued animals at Farm Sanctuary and have made many friends with humans and non-humans alike. You can read an update on Sonny and Fanny's wonderful progress here.
You can also see a part of their story in the new Ghosts trailer here.
I'm so excited to be working on this film with Liz and the Ghosts team. Our goal is to reach an international audience and to change many hearts and minds about humans' treatment of animals. Please share the trailer, follow the Ghosts film on facebook and continue to make compassionate choices in your life.
